Hollows beneath the eyes create shadowing that no amount of sleep or concealer resolves. The hollow forms where the tissue between the lower eyelid and the cheek thins, leaving a visible trough and a darkened, sunken appearance. Undereye filler places a small amount of product into that space to soften the transition and reduce the shadow.

This is one of the most technique-sensitive areas of the face, and it is not right for everyone — skin quality, the amount of hollowing, and puffiness or fluid retention all affect whether filler will help or make the area look worse. For some patients, restoring volume in the cheek addresses the undereye indirectly and is the better first step. Your consultation will include an honest assessment of which applies to you.
